It is a debate which is not only factually guided, with prejudices and fears also being promoted. A presentation of the facts, such as this work does, is therefore all the more important. Central terms are clarified in a compact form, the existing refugee policy of Austria and the EU up until now is depicted and more than a dozen best practice examples from Austria and the EU are presented, where a humane treatment of refugees and successful integration have been achieved. The updated version of the study offers newer data and some new best practice examples.
